Ovariohysterectomy (sterilization) is a surgery that allows us to prevent various pathologies in females such as psychological pregnancy, uterine infection, endometrial cystic hyperplasia, cysts and ovarian tumors among others. Orchiectomy (castration) also allows us to prevent pathologies in males such as testicular cancer and prostate problems.

Despite these health benefits for our pets, sterilization and castration also have behavioral benefits (reduced urine marking in males, reduced aggression and fights, getaways and escapes, or inadequate mount).
