ANIMÀLIA is a team of veterinarians, veterinarian auxiliaries and professionals that since June 1985 are dedicated to ensure the wellbeing and health of your pets.
Currently our team is:
I graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zaragoza in 1982. I also got a Diploma in Veterinary Ophthalmology by the UAB. I am a member of AVEPA and SETOV. I founded Animàlia back in June 1985, since then we have been continously improving and growing.
My specialities are surgery, traumatology and orthopedics.
I enjoy my free time with family, friends and two Schnauzers (Goku and Ronnie). My hobbies are related to whatever burns gasoline: motorbikes, cars, quads... And modeling at scales 1/18, 1/43, H0.
I'm Jose Luis, I graduated in 1990 from the University Complutense of Madrid. I am a member of AVEPA. I work at Animalia since February 1996; I have good hand for cats and I love doing first customer visits as well as preventive care and answer all your questions.
I live with Núri, mi couple and partner in life, who makes me immensely happy and with four dogs (Monk,Monín,Holmes and Dafi), two lovebirds(Guillem and Guifré), one budgerigar (Bàstian) and one leopard tortoise (Casiopea). I enjoy reading, watching movies, TV shows and listening to good music.I'm very interested in all about healthy nutrition and a conscious mind focused on present moment.
I do yoga iyengar and aeroyoga and I'm also interested in calisthenics. I have been fortunate to make many trips: Polynesia, Egypt, China, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka and Maldives, Galapagos Islands, Argentina-Chile-Peru and Bolivia, Israel and Jordan, Istanbul, Rumania ... I walked part of the "Camino de Santiago" from Oviedo to Santiago. It has been an incredible experience that I strongly recommend.
I'm David Massegur. I graduated from the University of Barcelona in 2002. Since then I have worked in three veterinary clinics in the province of Girona. In 2007 I joined the Animalia Veterinary Hospital
I enjoy learning and improving myself every day in order to give you the best possible veterinary services in areas such as internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging or preventive medicine.
I love veterinary cardiology and after years of training and continous learning I am very proud to offer you our full service on veterinary cardiology.
I also enjoy being in the nature (walking or mountain biking). Also I love playing basketball and learning something new every day by reading articles/books about: education, psychology/sociology, economics, cooperative, farming, coaching,... p>
I am Anna Teixidor. I graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2010. While studying I worked in veterinary hospitals in Catalonia and England as well as zoos such as the Barcelona Zoo, Faunia or Oceanography. In 2010-2011 I made an internship program in animal medicine and surgery at UAB Ars Veterinary Hospital in Barcelona. I also worked in different veterinary clinics/hospitals in Girona and Barcelona.
In 2013 I received the "Ramon Turro" Fellowship of the College of Veterinarians of Barcelona to improve my knowledge in exotic animals at Davis University, California (United States).
At the end of 2013 and in 2014 I moved to United Kingdom and I became a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and for 14 months I worked in Small animal and exotic practise until January 2015 when I joined the team of Animalia Veterinary Hospital. In 2015 I started a diploma in exotic animals medicine that I finalized in 2016 achiving the GPCert (exAP), General Practitionare Certificate in Exotic Animal Practice. p>
I am specialized in exotic and small animals, internal medicine and image diagnostics. I am a member AVEPA (Spanish Small Animals Veterinary Association) and member of the GMCAE (Grupo de Medicina y Cirugía de Animales Exóticos).
In my free time I like being with my family/friends and walk in the mountain together with my dog Kira.
I'm Maria Roca, a graduate from the University of Zaragoza 2012.
Since then I have been working in clinics at the Emporda and an Veterinary Hospital in Barcelona specialized in emergencies. I am a member of AVEPA since 2013.
During the year 2013-2014 I did a Postgraduate about small animal internal medicine University Autònoma de Barcelona. My areas of special interest are internal medicine, especially emergency medicine, intensive care and hospitalization, as well as for dermatology and neurology.
I like to spend my free time with my family and friends, recently I have started practicing yoga and dancing "Lindy Hop". I have three cats, Piuc, Pua i Bucoi, as well as two dogs, Poma and Runa, with whom I enjoy doing long walks.
My name is Amalia Noguer, I am an Assistant Veterinary from the Hospital Veterinary Catalonia (Igualada-Òdena). Also, I am veteriny surgeon assistant and a canine and feline hairdresser from the University of Leon. P>
At home I have two dogs, two rabbits and two guinea pigs. The animals are my job and my passion. In my spare time I like walking, the sea and playing guitar.
My name is Elisabet and I studied to be a Veterinary Assistant to the Veterinary Hospital Montjuic (Barcelona) , from a very early age I knew where I would be happy. And I live true to that feeling. I was right! Enjoying while working is priceless.
In my free time I like to go to the coast even during winter, I love to go energizing places and occasionally a quiter ones (but not too much). I live with a dog Linda 19 years old, Bob that has just a year, a kitten Nina 13 years old and a "perdalet" Pi that is already three years old!
